Microsoft Office on the Apple iPhone?

Microsoft Office on the Apple iPhone

This news comes from the controversial Chinese site CNMO.com. As Microsoft makes more profit on Office than it does on its current Vista OS, they want to make the software widely available in many different platform. MacBooks run Microsoft Office and Apple does  not really have a product that can compete with Office. But this remain unofficial as I’d like to hear from Apple and Microsoft.

How to run multiple versions of Internet Explorer at same time!

How to run multiple versions of Internet Explorer at same time!If you are a web developer then I can understand the pain you go through when it comes to making a website and ensuring the browsers compatibility. Now I can ditch out my five testing computers with different IE versions!

Yousif of TredoSoft has created an installer which allow to install 5 version Internet Explorer:

  1. Internet Explorer 3.0
  2. Internet Explorer 4.01
  3. Internet Explorer 5.01
  4. Internet Explorer 5.5
  5. Internet Explorer 6.0

I would recommend that you install IE 7 (whatever the latest version) first, then use this installer to setup the rest!

Go here and click the Download Multiple IE installer (10.3MB).

ASUS is the Most Hated Company In the PC Industry

ASUS is the Most Hated Company In the PC Industry

Taiwan’s Asustek, better known as ASUS. It is one of the most interesting, innovative and fastest-growing companies in technology.

Why Microsoft, Amazon, HP and Dell hate ASUS?

ASUS is the creator of Eee PC Mini Laptop. It’s compact, flexible and the best part is the price - costs as little as $299. This attractive price tag is less than Apple’s 16GB iPod Touch, Amazon Kindle e-book reader and certainly less than any full-functional laptops in the market. (Read the high rating reviews)

Yahoo to reject Microsoft bid

Latest News: Yahoo’s board believes Microsoft’s offer of $31 per share “massively undervalues” the company and does not account for the risk that a deal could be blocked by regulators. - CNN

The source also said that the company is unlikely to consider any offer below $40 per share. Yahoo’s response truly upset  Microsoft, but on the other hand, Google feels a relief (giggling). Another article from CNN denoted that Microsoft made a big mistake and harm their own shareholders from the hostile offer to Yahoo!

Windows 7 release in 2009. Another OS?

I’m not sure how you feel about another Windows, but it seems like Windows Vista is recently released and Bill Gates is telling us there will be a New OS next year? (~18 months away from now) According to Wikipedia, Windows 7 (codenamed Blackcomb, then Vienna) is scheduled to be the next major operating system of Microsoft Windows, to be the successor of Windows Vista. It’s heard that Windows 7 should be available in the second half of 2009.

Android Killer? Microsoft’s next version of Windows Mobile

Android Killer? Microsoft’s next version of Windows MobileSo we can’t really deliver into a lot of specifics, but today Microsoft showed off the next version of Windows Mobile at their annual Mobius conference. Nope, it’s not Windows Mobile 7 / Photon, but what we saw “is an update, not an upgrade”, was running on current hardware, and is due to manufacturers Q108. Our first impressions: very slick, and has a lot of features that just about any WM6 user will agree is way overdue. In other words, we’re expecting users will be stoked — no doubt about it. Expect specific details on features and the like in the near future, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear more about it CES.
