Install Kubuntu 7.10 (KDE 4.0) and configure NAT Firewall in 30 minutes

With the recent KDE 4.0.3 released, the third bugfix and maintenance release for the latest generation of the most advanced and powerful free desktop. KDE 4.0.3 is the third monthly update to KDE 4.0. KDE’s award-winning tools and applications are available in 49 languages. KDE, including all its rich libraries and neat applications, is available for free under Open Source licenses. KDE can be obtained in source and various binary formats from download.kde.org

OpenOffice.org 3.0 Beta released / downloaded

Since I wrote about Ubuntu 8.04 in the last post, it’s worth to mention OpenOffice 3.0 Beta. Note: This is only Beta and it’s not 100% stable nor fully tested. But some of you want to get your hands on the latest stuff. You can now download OpenOffice 3.0 from list of OpenOffice mirrors, choose a download site, and then find the Developer folder and the DEV300 supfolder and you should be able to download a Windows, Linux, or even Mac installer (hey, Apple’s fans).

Asus Eee Product: 42 inch Linux-based Eee TVAsus unveils the upcoming Eee Family of Products including E-DT (desktop PC), E-TV and E-Monitor. Their first launched product is the 42 inch Linux Eee TV, soon to be augmented with a small form-factor desktop machine, an all-in-one system and a TV.

The E-TV as its name suggests, it’s merged with the technology of TV and Computer at a low-cost. This LCD TV will have computer technology on board running Linux to allow users to surf the Internet and read email.
