How to watch YouTube on Windows Mobile

How to watch YouTube on Windows Mobile

A member from the WMExperts Forum has done the impossible incredible: Written instructions for getting the full version of YouTube working on Windows Mobile Device without needing a PhD in Computer Engineering. That’s not m.youtube.com, (which only features whatever videos YouTube has bothered to encode for that site), but the full YouTube. It’s not quite plug ‘n play, but it’s darn close. If you follow zbop’s instructions to a Tee you should be able to manage it.

  • If you already have a version of TCPMP installed, uninstall it now.
  • Install tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab: download link here
  • Install FlashVideoBundle.CAB attached [in the linked forum post below] (this MUST be installed in the same location as TCPMP)
  • Soft-reset

You’ll also want to read through the whole thread (linked below) for some tips and tricks for configuring TCPMP to get everything running smoothly and quickly. Here’s the full instruction.

Eee PC 900 Unboxed (Video)

As you all been waiting for, you can watch a short review about the latest Asus Eee PC 900. The 8.9-inch Eee PC is identical to the original 7-inch one with a few improvements. The screen and the trackpad are bigger, which in combo should almost justify the price upgrade, and you ave to include the 12GB SSD. The weight (under 1kg) has bee maintained, which is good, and battery life, according to the guy talking in the video, it is similar to the original Eee PC. The specs says multitouch trackpad but I guess this wasn’t shown on video.

Specs:

8.9 inch 1024 x 600 screen
Intel Celeron 900Mhz
1GB RAM
12GB SSD
1.3 mega pixel webcam
big multitouch trackpad
12v charger brick

Rumor: 3G iPhone May Include QWERTY Keyboard

Rumor: 3G iPhone May Include QWERTY Keyboard

Adding 3G on the iPhone may just be the ticket to make the Apple device a genuine hit in Europe. But here’s another rumor that suggests Apple would do more than just add 3G on iPhone 2.0. Whether the QWERTY iPhone is just one model of an entire line of iPhones Apple has been rumored to be preparing we’re nevertheless astounded that Apple may finally succumb to the tactile temptation. Microsoft and HCL joined to sell cheapest notebook!

Think Asus Eee PC is cool? Well, HCL and Microsoft has teamed up to roll out as part of HCL’s MiLeap brand of HCL Leaptops. It will be running Windows XP Home, weigh less than 1kg, and have a 7-inch TFT LCD touch-screen.

Microsoft and HCL joined to sell cheapest notebook!

The screen will be able to be rotated converting the notebook into a tablet, and yes, it’s a touchscreen, it will respond to a stylus and the software will include handwriting recognition software for taking notes. The whole system will be powered by an Intel ULV processor with Intel’s 945 GU Express chipset.

Other features of the notebook including a 1.3MP camera, 1GB of DDR2, touchpad, two mouse buttons, scroll, directional pads, dedicated softkeys for things like WMP, speakers, WiFi, Ethernet, and a full sized keyboard. This is shaping up to be the Tablet PC I’ve been dreaming of but with the price of a budget PC at about $425 when converted! This is certainly the cheapest Windows-based tablet I’ve seen so far.

Ferrari-Shaped Cell Phone

Ferrari-Shaped Cell Phone

This seemingly toy Ferrari (is it the F430?) is in fact a cellphone. The dialing pad is located underneath the car where the axle should be. The idea is interesting, but I agree that I do not like the idea of talking where the back axle is. It’s purely psychological, but why do you think that the original iPod was white and shiny like a bathroom? Price: 96 British pounds.

  • 2.2” display (260k colors)
  • Music player
  • Video player
  • 1.3 Megapixel camera
  • USB connector

Asus Essentio CS5110 - Desktop that weighs 3.4kg

Asus Essentio CS5110 - World’s Smallest Desktop?

This computer sits at 200×290×80 millimeters in size; it only weighs about 3.4kg. It has HDMI out as well as 7.1 audio outputs, so you should be good to go to just plop this in with the rest of your home theater equipment. Using that cooling process the fan is able to work less keeping the sound output from system operation down to about 23.9dB when idling. Some say this design looks like a PS3 game console. The price will be released later. Let’s wait and see if this product can be as successful as the Eee PC.

Video Game Authority for Grading

I know about grading sport cards services like Beckett’s BSG or PSA and grading comic books. I used to collect hockey and basketball cards, then send some valuable cards for grading to increase its value and proof the card is not counterfeit. Now someone is grading old video games. Video Game Authority is now grading old games and sealing them away in a tamper-proof case that will tell  buyers the exact condition of the game they are buying. Some gaming fans might find it interesting, but I think this game authority a little overwhelming.
