At the Las Vegas CES 2008, Garmin announced their New Nuvi 880 that occupies top spot where portable navigation devices are concerned. For example, if you say “Coffee” to this smart GPS device, it will find you the closest Coffee Shop!!! Isn’t it cool or what? Some of the features include advance speech recognition, dynamic MSN Direct content, a 4.3″ color touchscreen display at 480 x 272 pixels, a music player, an audio book player, and maps of the US, Canada and Puerto Rico…etc.

Personally, I don’t really like speakers overwhelming my small living room, unless they are in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. Polk Audio aims to impress at this year’s CES with their spanking new $1,199.95 SurroundBar 360 DVD Theater. This two-piece surround sound system comes with a single, attractive SurroundBar 360 multichannel loudspeaker (44 1/2″ W x 4 7/8″ D x 4 1/8″ H) as well as a separate, compact electronics console (16 1/2″ W x 11 1/2″ D x 3 3/16″ H) that holds a built-in DVD/CD player, SDA signal-processing amplifier, and an AM/FM radio. The list isn’t complete just yet, as the SurroundBar 360 also boasts a multitude of digital, analog, USB, and video inputs to get you connected. Let’s check out the pros and cons.

The title saids it all. Alienware was showcasing a swank new curved display here at CES, and apparently, the DLP RPTV is a must-have for gamers. Hear this: 0.02-millisecond response time. It will be in production soon, but the price is not known yet - looks costly to me :S

We have seen the 150-inch Plasma and the coolest 52-inch multi-touch, but we’re just fine with the 27-inch prototype Sony mentioned during its press conference yesterday. With a contrast ratio of greater than 1,000,000:1 (not a misprint) to go with its 1080p resolution, and >100% NTSC color reproduction. Sony is really the big daddy for television!

Sony’s new mylo 2 is amazingly good with the WiFi b/g connectivity from the original mylo. The display is now a 4.5-inch 800 x 450 touchscreen, it has 1GB of internal memory and a 1.3-megapixel camera.
