SteelSeries 7G Pro Keyboard Lasts 50 Million Keystrokes

SteelSeries 7G Pro Keyboard Lasts 50 Million Keystrokes

As far as keyboard goes, I have changed about 2 in 10 years which last pretty long. SteelSeries released 7G Pro that would last over 50 million keystrokes! Say you type 13698 keystrokes per day, this keyboard will last you over 10 years! Now let’s reveal the price… it costs $150usd.

Now it brings a mathematical question, an average keyboard costs about $10-15. Would it be better off buying an ordinary keyboard? :P

Mouse with “Boss Button” for Office Slacker!

Mouse with “Boss Button” for Office Slacker!

Who doesn’t surf “personal” websites or do non-work-related things during working hour? Unless you have one of those nasty IT managers who monitor each worker’s Internet traffic (firewall) and sophisticated phone tracking system. If you do not have such manager, then this mouse is what you’ll need to be worry-free. (if you’re lucky enough to have that type of manager - this mouse won’t do you any good.)

It looks like an ordinary mouse but if you look carefully, you can see an extra button near the thumb. A simple press of the button, it launches a productive-looking screen when you need to instantly hide what you’re really doing online. If you’ve installed its driver and configured it (see picture 2), then once you press the button, you can conceal any and all programs in windows and jump to your dedicated windows (as shown in picture 3). It might save your job… This mouse costs $19.99.

Cool Deal: $17 multifunction printer after rebate

Deal: $17 multifunction printer after rebateThis is one perfect example of “razor and blade” where you can get a razor for almost free but the catch is that you have to buy the blades from now on. You can get the Epson Stylus CX7450 printer/scanner/copier for $70. Buy.com offers a $70 rebate when you purchase any digital camera with the printer. Ubergizmo got this idea where you buy the Argus Keychain Digital Camera for $9.99 (still a digital camera) with the printer, the total cost including shipping turns out to be $86.78 - $70 rebate that equals to about $17. CES 2008: Logitech diNovo Mini

CES 2008: Logitech diNovo MiniLogitech unveiled the Logitech diNovo Mini palm-sized keyboard with media remote and ClickPad at the CES 2008. Designed for people who have connected their PC to their TV, it’s pretty useful but I rather use an ordinary keyboard / mouse. The diNovo Mini keyboard is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in late February for a suggested retail price of $149.99.

$20 for Wooden Keyboard & Mouse

Wooden Keyboard & Mouse

We all know that wood is one of the more expensive materials compared to plastic. For just $20, you can get a “wooden” (partially wooden?) USB keyboard and optical mouse at Geeks.com. This seems to be a good deal since we’ve showcased the Wooden DIY keyboard and the price tag is ~ $200. If you’re environmental friendly person or your computer desk and chair are made of wood, this is one product you might want to grab! However, a reader informed me that the keys on the keyboard are wood colored plastic. We have zoomed in the keyboard for you to judge this :)

Wooden DIY keyboard

Wooden DIY keyboardNow this isn’t exactly the most environmentally friendly of all computer peripherals, but at least it is more biodegradable than your standard plastic 101-key keyboard. Hailing from Japan, this DIY wood keyboard requires you to actually cut each key out yourself, placing them in the order of your choice. Granted, you would probably choose the QWERTY layout but the weirder ones among you would probably settle for DVORAK or something more original. I suppose this wood was not cut from virgin forests, so don’t feel too guilty about picking one of these €200 DIY wood keyboards up. At the very least, you can burn it to keep you warm during the cold winter months especially after oil has just breached the psychologically important $90/barrel mark.

French Maid Keyboard

French Maid Keyboard

A black lace PC keyboard teddy, straining against its fleshy cargo. Imagine that. This $140 Angel Kitty keyboard actually works, taking the concept of touch typing to a whole new level. It’s a little maid’s costume with an 85-key USB keyboard top, and it’s made to order in sizes that will accommodate even the most voluminously endowed office mate. Submissive Japanese babe not included.
