Robot controlled by a brainMeet Gordon, probably the world’s first robot controlled exclusively by a brain. (brain’s tissue to be exact) It is such an innovation and it’s a big step closer where one day human can control a computer or any machine just by thinking about it. Tests were held by connecting a rat’s neurons which sends signals to the robot to deliver its command. Observing how the nerve cells cohere into a network as they fire off electrical impulses.

“It’s quite funny — you get differences between the brains,” said Warwick, a professor at the University of Reading and one of the robot’s principle architects. “This one is a bit boisterous and active, while we know another is not going to do what we want it to.”
