Paramount and Universal finally go with Blu-ray. HD DVD goes to Deadpool

As Toshiba announced that HD DVD goes to the deadpool. The format war is over, Blu-ray is the Big Winner. I guess there’s no other option but to go with Blu-ray. Universal’s president Craig Kornblau said: “While Universal values the close partnership we have shared with Toshiba, it is time to turn our focus to releasing new and catalog titles on Blu-ray.”

I felt sorry to those people who already got HD DVD player as Toshiba released the final sale for all its players last month. Those players are no difference than any regular DVD player now except you have the old HD DVDs! Also, Blu-ray and Playstation 3 always go together, stats shows that the sale of PS3 surpassed xbox now, closing up on Wii.

I am glad that one is finally over. I did not want to invest money into a system that could become obsolete. Plus the fact different movie companies were split between them for awhile, you would almost need both to be able to buy the movie you wanted. I just stuck with DVD, but now I will go out and get a Blu-Ray.
