Most Secured USB Drive with PIN Protection

Do you feel ordinary USB drives are not secured enough to store your confidential data and you do not prefer fingerprint device? Well, we recommend you with this new USB flash drive from Corsair. This new package contained the Flash Padlock, an ingenious idea that protects your data with a PIN number. The key comes in a rectangular plastic housing with a keypad on the front, featuring five sets of numeric keys (0-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9) and a set key. (Corsair’s website)


How secure?

Flashing lights let you know what’s going on. Initially you have to setup a PIN number and your data remains inaccessible until you’ve entered the number again. When you remove it from a USB port, it automatically locks.

Pros:

- You cannot run brute force to crack it because you have to manually enter the PIN.
- It takes up to 10 digits. (10! / 2 times of combinations)

Cons:

- Cannot use words, numbers only
- You’re on your own if you forget the PIN (I don’t see any recovery method)
