Asus Eee Product: 42 inch Linux-based Eee TVAsus unveils the upcoming Eee Family of Products including E-DT (desktop PC), E-TV and E-Monitor. Their first launched product is the 42 inch Linux Eee TV, soon to be augmented with a small form-factor desktop machine, an all-in-one system and a TV.

The E-TV as its name suggests, it’s merged with the technology of TV and Computer at a low-cost. This LCD TV will have computer technology on board running Linux to allow users to surf the Internet and read email. Asus claimed it will retail for no more than $200 above what you’d pay for this kind of telly. Would you rather buy this TV or ordinary Plasma/LCD TV?

Is it Touchscreen?

Company’s market research has determined that touch screen is not a highly demanded feature for Eee PC customers, and therefore it will suspend plans to include the option of a touch screen panel in the next generation of Eee PCs. Earlier this month, Asus said this year will release 8 inch / 9 inch display follow up the current 7 inch Eee PC. Stay tune.
