World of Warcraft crosses 10 million milestone. Wow!

Blizzard Entertainment announced this week that the number of subscribers for World of Warcraft broke the 10 million mark. It is certainly the most popular RPG game and I had once been hooked with their games too! It’s very additive. Approx. 2.5 mil in North America and the rest mainly in Asia.

World of Warcraft is expected to unleash its 2nd expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, end of this year.

Blizzard’s CEO (Mike Morhaime) commented in a press release: “It’s very gratifying to see gamers around the world continuing to show such enthusiasm and support for World of Warcraft. We’re always pleased to welcome new players to the game, and we’re looking forward to sharing the next major content update with the entire community in the months ahead.”
