Who’s the king of Ultra portable Laptop in the market? Well, Apple’s MacBook Air seems to lead by a nose in the recent MacWorld. However, according to Gizmodo, Lenovo will unveil their Ultralight Laptop X300 Thinkpad weights about 2.5 Lbs. The release date is unknown but we have the specs. It’s got a 13.3-inch LED backlit 1440X900 screen, and Intel Merom Santa Rosa Dual Core CPU (2.0 Ghz / 880 Mhz ), a 64GB SSD, up to 4GB of DDR2 PC2-5300 memory, and 4 hours of battery life.
Honestly, the design is no match with the MacBook but Lenovo inherits from IBM that targets business professionals. Speaking of IBM, you might want to read up about Lenovo decides to drop IBM logo early

It has been awhile since I have seen a decent looking ThinkPad. It is nice to see other companies keeping up with Apple and making a lightweight laptop even if it is a not quite as fancy, it won’t be as expensive either.

Being a mobile user, it’s good to see more ultralight-weight laptops. Near my work place, I get free Internet everywhere via hot spot, it is convenient to get out a mini laptop to surf the web and have a coffee
