Paris Lemon notices that Gmail has not only gotten festive with funny notes, they’ve also accelerated their secret Gmail storage calculating algorithm so that every Gmail user now has 6 GB of storage - just in time for Christmas. According to statistics, there are way more email users using Yahoo! Mail during Christmas in 2007 than Gmail. Google is a late comer to Free Internet Email Service compared to MSN or Yahoo! (Gmail launched in April 2004) but they sure want to win in every aspect of the Internet war, so far they dominated tons of web services and it’s progressing. Recently, as you read up about the Android, Google is challenging Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Operating System, in an attempt to take a piece of pie from the mobile sector.

You could always use it for off site file storage using the Gspace Firefox extension.

You’re right G Smith. Actually I had installed the GSpace Extension in my Firefox, just rarely use it… I should though

I love Gmail. I’ve used it for several years now, and I really like the flexibility of being able to “label” my emails instead of being forced to put them in a folder. Many of my emails fall into more than one category (entrepreneurship AND environment, for example), and selecting one folder or the other forces me to segregate my mail - sometimes erroneously.
Being able to LABEL my mail, though - I can label one email message “entrepreneurship” AND “environment”, then no matter which label I’m looking at - I can find the message as appropriate!
I highly recommend gmail - if nothing else, JUST for that reason!
Namaste,
