What is OQO? According to TechRepublic, OQO is an Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC), but when you pick it up it simply feels like a device that combines the best mobility and connectivity features of a high-end smartphone with the computing power of an ultraportable notebook.OQO is a powerful device, yet the size is petite. According to Guinness World Records, the “OQO” is the smallest full-powered, full-featured personal computer. The U.S. Army uses them at security checkpoints in the Middle East. Others are using them as mini PCs for workers who don’t sit at a desk. For these workers, the OQO is helping to create a new category of PCs - one with a very high geek factor.

OQO announced a model 02 at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2007. An improvement over the model 01+, the model 02 is Windows Vista compatible and supports Verizon and Sprint’s EV-DO connectivity. The model 02 comes with a 1.2 GHz, 1.5 GHz or a 1.6 GHz VIA C7-M ULV processor, up to 1 GB of RAM, up to a 120 GB hard drive (with the option of a 32gb solid-state drive), has Bluetooth 2.0, and tri-mode WiFi (802.11a/b/g).

The beautiful, sleek and tiny OQO Model 02 is a device you’ve got to get your hands on to truly appreciate. The updated version sports integrated WiFi, Bluetooth and oh yes, integrated 3G support.
